President's Report 2024-2025

Dear Members,

Last October we hosted the 10th Biennial International ANZONA conference at the Stamford Plaza. It was wonderful to see so many people attend the conference over the two days, with excellent presentations and a fantastic opportunity for networking and looking at the trade displays.

We have been fortunate to hold education events over the last year with varying numbers of participants. I encourage all members to attend these education events. Our next event will hopefully be at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in October. We are continuing with our newsletters and hope you find them of interest. We will also continue to send out information on attending webinars as we receive it.

We are very grateful to all our members for your ongoing support of QONSIG. If you have any suggestions of what you would like included in our education events or newsletters, please let us know.

We have had several members join the committee recently. I would like to thank the committee for all their support in ensuring QONSIG continues! They give up their time to attend meetings, plan and source speakers for education events which is appreciated!

Kind regards,

Kirsty Firman

President's Report 2023-2024

Dear Members,

Its hard to believe that another year has flown by as I write this Presidents report!

This year the committee's main focus has been the organisation of the 10th Biennial International ANZONA conference at the Stamford Plaza this October, hosted by QONSIG. This has required the committee to attend meetings, secure speakers, venues and trade displays. I am very grateful to all the committee members for their hard work with this, particularly Kath and Tallulah. The committee give up their time after work to attend meetings, plan for future events and then assist these plans come to life!

The committee is looking forward to meeting QONSIG members at the conference! We were also very pleased to be able to sponsor one member to attend the conference. Thank you to all our members who applied. After careful consideration the committee are delighted to announce that Kellie McKeown has been successful in her application. Congratulations Kellie - we look forward to seeing you at the conference.

We continue to provide our members with education opportunities through face-to-face sessions, webinars and newsletters. It was disappointing to have to postpone our wound care afternoon due to low registration numbers. We plan to hold this education session early next year and I would encourage as many members as possible to attend this event. A big thank you to our members for all your continued support. We are planning education events for next year, and as members of QONSIG if you have any suggestions of what would interest you to attend these events, please get in contact with us via email. Look forward to seeing you at the conference!

Kind regards,

Kirsty Firman
